New Years Eve Decor

I've never been one to turn down the festive excitement of a big New Year's Eve party, but I find nowadays I prefer the quieter, less frenzied celebration of New Year's Day. Such as watching the Rose Parade and lazy couch sitting. This year I came down with Strep Throat resulting in staying inside on New Year's Eve. Of course still being in holiday mode, celebratory sweets, and indulgences are a menu must even when your sick, or when your celebrating on the lighter side, after all of the seasonal excess.

I decided on a few pink and gold touches for our little buffet.

No evening is complete without a mustache cookie photo. I am in love with these photo prop cookie cut-outs I purchased at IKEA. There are crowns, bows, stars, and of course mustaches. Due to being under the weather. I just rolled out premade cookie dough and followed the baking directions. After the cookie cooled it was icing and sprinkle time.

I'm not the best at frosting cookies so I kept it simple with cupcake frosting tube and black frosting gel with sprinkles

The mustaches were my favorite the others were just yummy lol

They were also perfect for funny photo opts.

To decorate the table, I have to admit I did it in under 10 minutes. I just used gold runners and table clothes and pieces of vintage China that reminded me of New Years. My favorites were the glass top hats that I used for paper straws and napkins.

My favorite find of the week!! I purchased these cute beauties at Dollar Tree!!! I know right?? I could not believe it when I saw them on the counter. I meant to write our names in chalk but as I said I was probably running a slight fever when I took this photo haha

We finished the evening with wine glasses dipped in gold sugar crystals with yummy Pink Champagne.

All in all it was a very quieter, less frenzied evening. Which was good since I felt awful but did not want to show it haha
